A Governing Strategy, Not a Wish List
Let's be honest about the job. The Delegate to Congress from the Virgin Islands does not cast the final vote on the House floor. Any candidate who pretends otherwise is selling something.
Here's the truth that matters: a Delegate who knows the work has real power anyway. Delegates vote in committee — where most bills live or die. They sponsor and co-sponsor legislation. They fight for appropriations and federal dollars. They conduct oversight, build coalitions, and use the platform of a congressional office to force our issues onto the national agenda.
This platform is not a list of promises. It is a governing strategy rooted in federal leverage, long-term advocacy, and the understanding that real progress is built through persistence, relationships, and results.
